You'll have a true Montana vacation in this lovely log home, just a 15-minute drive away from historic Downtown Whitefish. If you enjoy shopping, this is the place for you! There are many Clothing, Souvenir and Antique shops for you to enjoy. Take pleasure in some of the finest restaurants, bars, breweries, and distilleries that the Flathead Valley has to offer! There are fun events including music, theatre, and festivals year-round! City Beach at Whitefish Lake is also only 15 minutes away!
A 30-minute drive will get you to Whitefish Mountain Resort where you'll enjoy world-class skiing, it was praised in National Ski magazine as the #3 place to ski in the country! During the summer months, the resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill, and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops.
In addition, you have easy access to spectacular hiking, golfing, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and Glacier National Park! The West Entrance of Glacier National Park is about an hour away! This home is the perfect base camp for a visit to Montana’s majestic Flathead Valley. Whitefish is your four-season destination place! If you are traveling during the Winter season, we highly recommend having a 4x4 or AWD vehicle as weather conditions can be unpredictable.
And then there’s your home…
This gorgeous Montana log home has 4,000 square feet of living space packed with all the comforts of home. The home has lots of windows for ample light and spectacular views. The floor plan is open and inviting! The main level great room has high cathedral ceilings and a wood-burning stove perfect for cozy evenings! One of the sofas is a sleeper for extra guests! The Gourmet Kitchen was recently remodeled and is stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils you need to prepare a feast! The large dining table seats 8 and you have space for 6 more at the kitchen bar! This is the perfect place to gather everyone together!
Climb the stairs to the open loft and you'll find a perfect place for a slumber party for kids of all ages! The room has a King-size bed and a full-size bed with a small balcony with views of the river!
Back on the main level, you'll find two bedrooms. The Master Bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite full bathroom. This bedroom also has sliding glass doors to enjoy going outside to the beautiful patio. Bedroom #2 also has a queen-size bed. There is a full guest bathroom on this level.
Downstairs you'll find a huge living room with a leather sectional sofa and large flatscreen TV and surround sound. You'll love relaxing here to watch your favorite movie or sports! The room has a wet bar and mini-fridge. This level has an in-floor heating system for the cold winter months which will keep you cozy! There are two bedrooms on this level. One has a King-size bed, and the other has a Queen-size bed. There is a beautiful full bathroom on this level as well. Clean up with ease in the large laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer.
Outside, there is a very large maintained grass yard with a volleyball net and room for plenty of games! Or just kick back and enjoy the serenity of the river setting. It is a great location for a family gathering, in a quiet country neighborhood, with minimal traffic on the road, and the surrounding properties consist of hay fields, the river, and trees. The yard is very large and is watered and mowed regularly.
There is ample parking available with a roundabout in the driveway. The riverfront vacation rental home sits on 8 acres and has a very nice private setting alongside the Stillwater River which runs right behind the home. This is an authentic Montana Log Cabin! You owe it to yourself to stay in this beautiful log home!
Glacier Park International Airport is only about 20 minutes from Whitefish, Montana so getting here is easy!

After arriving at your property and checking it out, I told my daughter that we must have been slumming all these years. It was the best place we have ever stayed and we had no need to run out and buy anything because it wasn't provided. From ice cream scoop to grater, the amenities were priceless. I think it was better equipped than my own home. The beds were very comfortable and the home was very spacious.

We had an amazing time celebrating Mothers Day and a birthday at Stillwater Log Cabin. The grounds are impeccably manicured, the neighbors are friendly and show an equal pride of ownership in their homes, and the cabin itself was fully stocked and well-appointed that we found ourselves needing nothing from the professional management team during our stay.
Just a couple of things that arent mentioned in the paperwork to help more vacationers out, there is a fully stocked kitchen! What does that mean?
Electric hand mixer, blender, cookie sheets, 2 sets of knives (not totally sharp but workable), Dutch ovens, foil, plastic wrap, Ziploc bags, wine glasses, alcohol shakers, straws, spices, we donated the ice trays (icemaker may be broken, but will probably be fixed by your stay), a million spatulas and cutting boards, and so many pots and pans. Honestly, it felt like you were in your own kitchen once you familiarized yourself where everything was.
As for the sleeping quarters, we had 0 complaints! Everything was clean and well thought of (they even have hangers in the closet) and there were extra blankets and pillows.
For our trip, we split our time between Glacier National Park and Whitefish so the location made total sense. Before we left, we were all checking our schedules to see when we were available to come back, because our time spent in this majestic home was nothing short of AMAZING!

Imagine a hideaway, snowing, in the trees, in the Stillwater Log Cabin, through Whitefish Escapes, LLC. It was the most amazing escape for our family while we made the final plans for our son's February wedding in Kalispell, Montana. The experience was so incredible we extended our stay twice.
